Hi there,

I have recently opened an etsy store specializing in bracelets and other jewelery designed for larger sizes. Bangles that will go on properly and not look silly, rings in bigger sizes, necklaces with longer lengths, that sort of thing. If anyone is interested I would love for you to come take a look.

The piece below is a ring, but it has also been done as a bangle. Sterling silver.

So I spent an hour plus in hot water with a razor and shaving jell.
Still, it feels kind of worthwhile.
No hormones. No enhancements. Just me.
Imagine what H.R.T will do.
Yeah me!

So being a big girl, I of course am having a hard time finding cute clothes that fit me.

Most of the stuff I find either resembles a circus tent or looks like a rabid bedazzler attacked it.

So I have been looking into making my own clothes.

While at Wal Mart I found the greatest stuff. It is a tiered skirt material that has an elastic waistband built in. So all you have to do is measure your waist, buy that much material, and run a seam down the back and then you have a skirt. If you are feeling fancy, you can add trim and a belt.

This is super easy to make, even if you don't have a sewing machine. And if you are afraid of needles, you can take it to a dry cleaner that does alterations and they will sew it for you pretty cheap.

If anyone else has any tips feel free to post them.

I am a fifty year-old confused (but getting better. Six feet two inches tall and 260 pounds.
Learning about the biology of why I feel as I do (yesterday I read up on hormone washes). Living in relative isolation in upper Michigan is a bitch. This group is probably a really good idea for me as I know very little about dressing, make-up etc...

Out of curiousity, would I fit well in your group? I'm 6'7 and currently weight about 265ish. Considering the size clothes I have to buy.. I'm guessing yes. ;)
